Eufola Baptist Church receives the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, as its sole authority in matters of faith and practice. We believe the Bible and teach it to be perfectly true. Every belief and teaching from Eufola Baptist Church flows from God’s Word.

The Scriptures. We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God and that it is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.  (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

One God. We believe in one true and living God revealed in the Scriptures as eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. They are each equal and infinite in their being, power, glory, and attributes. This belief is called the Trinity (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Mark 12:29; John 14:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7).

Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ, eternally existing, is the only begotten Son of God born of a virgin; He is true God and true man. He lived a sinless life upon the earth and died a substitionary death for the sins of all mankind; He rose bodily from the grave on the third day; He ascended bodily into Heaven where He continues His ministry at the right hand of God as our Advocate and High Priest; He is personally, visibly and imminently returning to this earth to setup His kingdom (Luke 1:30-55, John 1:1-15; Philippians 2:5-8; Colossians 1:15; Matthew 1:18-25; 1 John 5:20; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24; Luke 24:36-48; Acts 1:9-11; 1 John 2:1-2; Ephesians 1:20; Matthew 25:31-32; Revelation 20:6).

The Holy Spirit. We believe that the Scriptures assign to the Holy Spirit all the attributes of God; that this present era of the church is, in a special way, the dispensation of the Holy Spirit; and that His ministry in the world includes reproving, regeneration, indwelling, guiding, and empowering men (Acts 5:3-4; John 16:7-11; John 3:3-5; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Romans 8:14; Acts 1:8).

Satan. We believe that Satan is a person, the author of sin and the cause of the Fall of Man; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; and, that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire (Job 1:6-7; Is. 14:12-17; Matt. 4:2-11; 25:41; Rev. 20:10).

Sin. We believe that man was created in the image of God and in his original state made innocent; that by exercise of his own free will he disobeyed God and, thereby, fell into a state of sin and condemnation; Now all of mankind exists as a fallen race, with an inherited sinful nature and are separated from God at the age of accountability, and are in need of a new birth (Genesis1:26-27; Genesis 2:16-17; Genesis 3; Romans 5:12-19; Ephesians 2:1-3; John 3:3; Romans 3:10-23; Romans 6:23).

Salvation. We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace and is received by biblical repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, trusting in His atoning sacrifice at the cross. There is no other means of being saved. God desires to let all people everywhere be saved; but since man has the freedom to choose, God saves only those who repent of their sins and trust Jesus Christ as their personal Savior (Luke 13:3; Isaiah 55:7; Ephesians 2:8,9; John 3:16; John 14:6; John 1:12-13; Acts 4:12; John 5:46-47; Romans 8:29-30; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 Timothy 2:3-4; Titus 2:11; 2 Peter 3:9; Revelation 22:17).

Assurance & Security of Salvation. We believe that all those born again by the Spirit of God are kept by the power of God and are secure in Christ forever. We believe it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the promise of God’s Word; which, however, clearly forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion to sin (John 1:12; 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Romans 8:1; 8:38-39; I Corinthians 1:4-8; I Peter 1:5; I John 5:13; Romans 13:13-14; Galatians 5:13; Titus 2:11-15).

Ordinances. We believe that God has given His church the ordinances baptism, which is to be administered only to believers, by immersion and in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and the Lord’s Supper, which is to be open to all born again believers present (Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

The Christian Life. We believe that Christian life is to live a righteous, pure and holy life; that he is called to be a witness for Christ; that he is to be faithful in attending his church; and that he is to support his church by his tithes and offerings (Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20; Acts 1:8; Hebrews 10:25; Malachi 3:10; Matthew 23:23; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2; Titus 2:11-12).

Judgment. We believe that all men will stand before God in judgment – the righteous before the judgment seat of Christ, when Jesus returns for His bride, the Church. The unrighteous before the Great White Throne judgment and the wicked will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life (Hebrews 9:27; John 5:29; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:1-15; Matthew 25:46).

Creation. We believe in the literal Genesis account of God’s creating this earth and man in six literal twenty-four hour days, and that He rested on the seventh day sanctifying it as a day of rest (Genesis 1:1-2:3).
